About Us
We build tools for churches because we go to church
My Church Calendar is built by the same team behind Church Notes, a Bible note-taking app used by over 50,000 believers worldwide. We've been building technology for churches since 2020.
Our story
In March 2020, the world went into lockdown and churches closed their doors. We saw an opportunity to build something useful — a Bible note-taking app that would help Christians stay connected to God's word even when they couldn't be in the building. That app became Church Notes.
We taught ourselves to code, partnered with Crossway to integrate the ESV Bible translation, and launched on iOS in October 2020. Android followed in January 2021. Over the next few years, Church Notes grew to over 50,000 users across the globe — entirely through word of mouth in churches.
Along the way, we built Preach Notes — a tool that lets pastors share their sermon outlines with the congregation in real time. That experience taught us something important: the tools churches need aren't the same tools businesses need. Churches have their own rhythms, their own language, and their own challenges. Generic software doesn't cut it.
My Church Calendar came from a problem we kept hearing about from pastors and church admins: "People don't know what's happening at church." They were sending WhatsApp reminders every week, posting on Facebook, printing bulletins — and half the congregation still didn't know when small group was. The events weren't on people's phones, so they didn't exist.
We built My Church Calendar to fix that. One subscribe link. Every event synced to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook. No app for the congregation to download. It's the simplest way we could think of to solve a real problem that every church faces.
How we got here
March 2020
Church Notes was born
We started building Church Notes during the global lockdown — a Bible note-taking app to help Christians grow in their faith. What began as a side project turned into something much bigger.
July 2020
Partnered with Crossway
We integrated the English Standard Version (ESV) Bible translation into Church Notes through a partnership with Crossway, bringing trusted scripture directly into the note-taking experience.
October 2020
Church Notes launched on iOS
The first version of Church Notes went live on the App Store. Sermon notes, Bible study tools, and auto-verse lookup — all in one app.
January 2021
Expanded to Android
Church Notes became available on Android, opening the app to a much wider community of believers around the world.
2021–2025
Grew to 50,000+ users
Church Notes grew steadily through word of mouth in churches. We added multiple Bible translations, SOAP devotions, and Preach Notes — a tool that lets pastors share sermon outlines with their congregation in real time.
2026
My Church Calendar launched
After years of building tools for individual Christians, we turned our attention to a problem every church faces: getting events onto people’s phones. My Church Calendar was born — a simple calendar tool that syncs church events to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Outlook.
What we believe
Churches deserve good tools
Most church software is either too expensive, too complicated, or not built for how churches actually work. We think churches deserve tools that are simple, affordable, and purpose-built.
Technology should serve faith
Every feature we build starts with one question: does this help a church serve its congregation better? If the answer is no, we don’t build it.
Simplicity matters
The best tool is the one people actually use. We keep things clean, fast, and obvious. If a pastor can’t figure it out in 2 minutes, we’ve failed.
Built by believers, for believers
We go to church. We sit in the pews. We’re in the WhatsApp groups. We know the problems because we live them. That’s why our tools feel different from generic software.
Our products
We're building a suite of tools for churches — each one focused on solving a specific problem well.
